While visiting friends in Rome in June 2010, they took us to Tuscany for a weekend stay at an “agriturismo.” We toured the area and discovered many old towns located in walled, castle-like groupings. This is a view from our bedroom window at the inn, a vineyard operated by a friendly elderly gentleman and his son.

During one of our many adventures in Rome, we stumbled upon the “People’s Square” or Piazza del Popolo. Standing in the centre of square we captured an image of the “twin” churches of Santa Maria di Montesanto (left, built 1662–75) and Santa Maria dei Miracoli (right, built 1675–79).
