We had rented a small apartment near Carcassonne and spent one glorious week enjoying the sunny days and cool nights of the mountain air. The city nearby has its own medieval history, which was wonderful to explore. My family and I reconnected and had a wonderful French experience. Here is the main castle, taken as we walked around the whole thing, trying to find the door!
