Between visiting the impressive chateau that once housed the dukes of Brittany and exploring the luminous Pommeraye Passage – at once a shopping arcade and a significant historical monument – we recommend taking the time to relax on a park bench to sample some traditional berlingots, a delectable local candy. The banks of the stately Loire are dotted with numerous chateaux, conferring an unforgettable dignity to this calm and lovely city.

Chenonceau, the chateau, is absolutely beautiful and also very interesting to visit with the art and architecture. Tucked away to one side of the tree-lined avenue, there is also a 16th century farm that is well worth a stroll; very peaceful and away from most of the crowds.
